Hi people!
I have two favourite places on earth.
Sooke is number one! If you live in a bigger city like I do one always wishes to live at this peaceful place. I have been to Sooke 11 times now and love it more and more. I am in the IT business and moving to Canada and Sooke would not supply job opportunities without longer commutes into Victoria.
But I keep coming back each year for holidays.
My wishes for Sooke's future are that it will stay the way it is and not being overrun by too many tourists. I hope that there will be a way to establish some kind of ecological tourism preserving its stunning nature. Sooke should preserve its West Coast feeling and remoteness and not be wolfed in by the outskirts of Victoria.

When I have one of those days at work I get on here and relax by looking at the view from the three webcams and my stress quickly seeps away. WE have a lot in East Sooke and can hardly wait to push the "quit" button and move out to build our dream home. Love the place rain or shine....

we are moving to Sooke in August. It is one of the most beautiful places on the planet and looking at your website makes me wish I was there now. We truly feel lucky to have the opportunity to live there. I am sure we will be happy this winter when it is minus 38 in Winnipeg.

Hi Guys,
What a fantastic site! It's a life saver for me! I absolutly adore sooke and simply cannot wait to move over there! So thank you for that 5 minutes of bissful peace i get from looking at all the photos! the only thing i wish i could change is to get all the webcams working as only one of them does! It's sucha beautiful town and it shouldnt go to waste!

I am moving to Sooke in 2007 and been dreaming of this what seems forever. I plan to live the rest of my life there. We have been in Sooke several times in our lives but it wasn't until recently that the opportunity came for us to live there and we are doing everything we can to make that happen.

Maybe someone can help me clear up a mystery about Sooke,BC.
I am in a rosary making group in Seattle WA --we make rosaries for missions, hospital ministry etc.
One of our members was given a picture his son took in Sooke -- or near it.
What looks like Paul Bunyan's rosary is hung from a frame in front of a house. A sign says Rosary In...and the rest can't be read in our photo...
I have a partial adress --5080-- no street. What is this about? How do I get in touch with the person who did it. We keep a notebook on things related to the rosary and would like to know more.

We have had two fantastic holidays in Sooke and love to have a look at the down town webcam - it reminds us of our happy holidays.
Today however, the webcam seems to have fallen down - we have an upside down view!!
